Healing Prayer Fellowship has moved online. The members of the team circulate prayer request by email to each other and then at 9.30am on Wednesday morning the team pray from their own homes for everyone who has contacted them during the week.<\/p>\n

Archdeaconry of York Prayer<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Generous God, you look upon us with love and mercy. Build up your people in this Archdeaconry of York, we pray, and make your churches places of generosity and welcome, that we might nurture disciples of your Son. May we seek to work as partners in mission, desiring the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit, as we live out your Gospel in our parishes. \nIn this time of anxiety and uncertainty,

\nCompassionate God, as our physical freedom is diminished, our activities decreased and our movements restricted, help us to find stillness in our souls and bodies. Help us not to be overwhelmed by fear of what might be, but still our souls, as you stilled the storm on the sea of Galilee to calm the fears of your disciples. Give us courage to shelter in the ark of your love, until you bring us all, once again, to the security of the dry shore.

A prayer for those forgotten<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gentle God, as the world is distracted by our current situation help us not to forget the plight if those in need. Hear our prayers for those who live in war zones those dispossessed, for those who continue to suffer for lack of food or clean water. For those whose tears are not seen, and whose cries are not heard, Lord have mercy.<\/p>\n

Amen<\/p>\n

The Jesus prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n

O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy, shine your mercy upon us; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not our hold on things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord.\u00a0Amen<\/p>\n
